CRI's work among the bottom billion includes caring for some of the 38 million widows that live in extreme poverty. Among this group are those who are HIV positive. Across the globe it is common to find communities where the HIV stigma leaves women abandoned and without income to feed their children. Many become depressed. As their health deteriorates, so too does their ability to care for themselves. Some prefer to end their life rather than continue suffering.

CRI's Project Life delivers aid to HIV+/AIDS widows and their families. Each Project Life ministry empowers our partners and caretakers to provide fellowship, food, prayer, and medical care to HIV widows and the sick and dying within our reach.
