In deeply poor countries, 38% of 12 to 15 year olds do not go to school. And just 41% of 16 to 18 year olds receive any form of schooling (UNESCO Institute for Statistics). Many are orphans with younger siblings under their care. Others work to support their single mothers or parents with AIDS. Without an education, youth continue in the cycle of poverty.

Through our Sports & Discipleship program, we show young men and women a way out. We build relationships with high schoolers through sports. To those who compete on our netball and soccer teams, we provide mentorship, tutoring, and a weekly Bible study on the practice field. More than academics, we teach them discipline, integrity, and to follow Christ. When youth complete our program, they have the skills they need to support themselves and their families.

Because of our Sports & Discipleship sponsors, our students not only dream of a life outside of poverty, but they have the faith and resources to see it through.
