The Christians living in Jaranwala, a small town located in the Faisalabad district of Punjab Pakistan live in extreme poverty as they work as day laborers. Last week this community was among the many brutally attacked by Muslims.

Pastor H., a trusted friend of CRI, knows the Christians in Jaranwala and he shared the extent of hatred and cruelty. Mobs burned churches and ransacked Christian homes, stealing what they wanted and burning what remained. They even entered a Christian graveyard and broke the tombstones and crosses erected on the graves of Christian brothers and sisters.

The Christians of Jaranwala have started to return home, but there is nothing to return to.

The Christian communities across Pakistan have started to reach out to Jaranwala, offering food and water, counsel and prayer. And since the needs are far greater than what the local, persecuted churches in Pakistan can handle, Pastor H. reached out to ask:

"Can CRI and Christians in the US help care for the families of Jaranwala, through prayer and financial support? Will you help keep food on the table as they rebuild their lives?"

My answer is yes, I think we can and should. Even a little bit of help will go a very long way to encourage our persecuted brothers and sisters in Pakistan.

Give a gift to help feed and supply the persecuted families of Jaranwala in this time of need!
